My Why
I am especially sensitive to the issues surrounding couples who are in the process of “Untying the Knot.” While in the middle of my own marital transition, I was compelled to help others and completed the training to become a Mediator. Shortly thereafter, I completed Collaborative Law training in order to contribute as a Collaborative Divorce Financial Specialist and also earned the designation of Certified Divorce Financial Analyst®.
During my challenging yet amicable experience, I felt there was a better way to navigate through – and I was right. I know what it’s like to have been a child of divorcing parents as well as what it’s like to transition out of two marriages with children. I bring a unique perspective to the table with an ability to see things from multiple perspectives. I’ve successfully co-parented with my former spouses and their new significant others, I’ve been a step-mother as well as been raised with a step-mother and step-father and am well-versed in what it takes to work together as blended families. Whether you have children or not, I understand the pain, the pitfalls and the process needed for a healthy transition and can help guide you while on your journey.

My Approach
I recently heard someone in an interview with Tony Robbins say, “Your mess becomes your message”. This resonated with me greatly because I feel like that’s exactly what I’ve done with my own marital transition experience.
For some reason I felt compelled to pay attention to the process, what it was like (for me and for others in my shoes) to deal with attorneys, mediators, financial experts, counselors, the judge, etc. I definitely felt there was a better way to navigate through this process without all the stress and anxiety, and I was pretty confident that I could help others have a better overall experience and outcome.
So when one of my best girlfriends suggested I consider becoming a mediator, I took her advice…and this is how “my mess started to become my message.”
